German Toilets, They're not what they cracked up to be.

img_Sep_01_2004_25_40 I tried to read this article out loud to Ryan the other night while we were blogging in my office, but I couldn't finish it because I was literally crying and my side was about to burst open from intense laughter. I'm not sure if it's just one of those things where you had to be there or what, but let me know if you find it remotely amusing.

I couldn't believe this, but after some research I couldn't disprove it - and I found this guy who says he has lived in Germany five years.

And I quote "The answer is that Germans, unlike us repressed Brits and Americans, have no fear whatever of the body and its functions. Nothing delights a German more than parading around nude and they find nothing more hilarious than loud farting and belching."

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was too funny. I simply cannot understand the logic behind this type of toilet. How disgusting and strange!! I can just picture someone grabbing a wad of toilet paper to give "it" a nudge. uhhhhhh! blah!

Re: German Toilets, They're not what they cracked up to be.

very funny! but I do disagree with one point the author made. one can indeed "splash" themselves with the American toilets.

Splashing Oneself

Yes, I have splashed myself many times, it is quite refreshing. The physics of this phenomenon are mind boggling. I mean how could the ice-cold droplet trace its predecessor back into the abyss? How does the droplet beat the closing gates? It all happens so quickly I guess.

Re: German Toilets, They're not what they cracked up to be.

i think i have used one before!!!!!! look up japanese toilets....they have heated seats in the hotel rooms they are very nice and then when you want some extra cleanliness you push a button on the side of the toilet and warm water squirts right into your "hole" that is also very pleasant....but the real kicker is the public restrooms for women in japan........all i know is those japanese women have talent------it is just a hole in the ground with a drain????????? it is still a mystery to me
