Bobby Jackson, 1981 - 2004

I've been wording this post in my head for the last 4 hours, trying to figure out how to say what I really want to say. I decided to get up and just dive into it. Bobby Jackson died Monday night, August 23rd in a tragic accident. He was a good friend of mine back in college and we tended to touch base about once a year. The time I spent with Bobby was always well spent. I recall living in the Wesley Foundation together, sharing such tasks as mopping floors and taking out the trash. (Despite their perception, these are wonderful bonding experiences, just ask any Wesley Alumni) We used to go rock climbing as well. He was a very adventurous person. I will always regret not keeping closer contact with him over the past few years. I would have known about his band Deas Vail which I ran across searching through google. I got to listen to some of the music and I was very impressed. I'm proud of you Bobby for taking it to the next level. Thanks for your encouragement and friendship in my life. My deepest sympathies go out to the family members and the many friends who Bobby has made. May we all walk away from this with an enlightened outlook on life and the people who surround us.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Finding the right words to say in these situations is hard but I think you did a good job. I'll keep the family in our prayers.

We will all miss Bobby. I agree that time with Bobby was always time well spent. He was a great guy. It doesn't seem possible that he's gone.

He talked about you often Brady. We used to love talking about all the people who lived in the houses and the old days at Wesley. Please come around more often and drop in. We can talk about Bob and what not. God bless,
Chris

Brady, I don't know if you know this or not, but Bobby looked up to you so much. Everything from your faith in God,laying music together to rock climbing. You were a big impact in his life. I just think it's always nice to know something like that, something you may not have known from such a dear friend like Bobby. Keep in touch.

Brady, my dear, sweet boy..... You are a fine, Godly man. Bobby did look up to you, especially during his first few years of college. In watching and worshipping with you at Frogs, I think that shy, quiet, goofy guy felt God saying, "You can do this!" He loved playing music with you. He loved goofing with you. He loved being outdoors with you. You are one of the men whose example he wanted to follow. I love you, Brady. Hug your precious girls for me. Oh, and if you or Matt really want that dvd, I'll find a way to get it to you.
