The Little Rock Marathon

img_Aug_24_2004_29_11img_Aug_24_2004_29_25 So I decided to run the Little Rock Marathon next year. Last year I didn't finish due to an IT band injury. Lesson Learned: Don't train in a worn out pair of shoes and then at the last minute change to a brand new pair. Your feet and IT band will hate you for it, at least for 6 months. Anyway, I will be posting shirtless pictures of myself once a week over the next 7 months. I know none of you want to see this, but it is my way of forcing accountablity on myself. After 7 months I will post some type of before and after entry showing how my body has transformed throughout the training. I am running the marathon againg for a couple of reasons: To lose a bit of the weight and to become more healthy (Recent family related heart issues from both sides). As far as the IT band issues, I have a brand new pair of running shoes and I will be monitoring their condition throughout the training. Ryan Hicks will aslo be training along with me and he is following the same guidlines (as far as training schedule and photo posts). Once again I'm sorry for the pale gut pics.

Re: The Little Rock Marathon

Lets see.... Double cheese burger, tots with cheese, and a large order of french fries. Deal with it :)

P.S. Who ate 1/8th of my cheese burger?

Re: The Little Rock Marathon

Good luck! I don't know if I could make myself do it, again, but it's an awesome feeling once your done. I had IT band problems, too, and went to the doctor a couple of weeks before the race and he prescribed me Celebrex. It helped a lot. Try it if you have problems with it this time around.

Re: The Little Rock Marathon

At least you shared your double cheeseburger with Danny. I ate the whole thing and then had the nerve to say "are you going to eat your tots?"
