I Switched to Bank of America
From Regions Bank
If you have ever changed bank accounts before, then you know it isn't an easy task. Starting last week, I began transitioning my bank account from Regions Bank to Bank of America. There seems to be a lot of people who do not like Bank of America, but let me state my case as to why I made the switch. I saw a commercial where two guys were at a coffee shop. One of them was at the counter and the other at their table with a laptop. As the guy at the counter swiped his card, he told the other to see if the transaction was showing up yet, and it was. As some of you may know, with other online banking systems the transactions take days to post and you never really know whats out there by just looking at your web-based account view. Since I typically only use my check card for purchases, I no longer have to keep up with all the receipts and tally them up every few days. It's truly beautiful. As long as I don't use checks, I will always be able to login and see my current, real-time, balance. That was the main reason I switched, however; I have learned a couple of other great things about Bank of America, namely their online bill payment system. I know a lot of other banks have this too, but it's totally free with Bank of America, no matter how many transactions per month. I have been utilizing PayTrust for the past two and a half years to manage my bills online, paying anywhere from $12.95 to $15.00 per monthy (transaction based). Now I can pay my bills online for free. Bank of America's online banking interface is much more user friendly than Regions and they have overdraft privileges (not that I would use that, but sometimes your wires get crossed).
