Peanut butter is addictive. I kept a very large jar of Price Saver Brand Peanut Butter in my desk for lunch or an afternoon snack. Occaisonally someone would ask for a spoon full here and there, eventually it became the communal peanut butter jar until finally it was gone. Jeff and I decided to take turns buying peanut butter and share it between us. We are currently in Jeff's rotation, but I can see the bottom of the jar. I could eat peanut butter all day; on crackers, toast, on a spoon, on a pencil, in a cup. I once saw a book about a straight peanut butter diet. That's all you could eat, no bread or crackers, just good old peanut butter. That's the only case where it may become old.

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
to Beth,
I am trying to get one started. I have posted my message on another website. Just go to google and type Peanut Butter Hell. You will see a list of people and their comments on there addiction. That is the closest you will get to a PBA group. It has worked for me so far. You aren't the only one addicted.

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
Wow. I am EXTREMELY addicted to peanut butter. I LOVE everything about it. People think i'm crazy for how much I eat. I used to weigh 125 and then I lost a bunch of weight out of no where, and people were calling me anorexic. I got down to 107, and I wanted to gain weight SO bad. I've been eating peanut butter late at night to gain weight and i'm at 114 now and it's only been like 2 weeks. I eat probably about 3,000 calories worth of peanut butter..I can eat a whole jar in less than a week by myself. Most people take a spoon and only eat like 2 spoon fuls, but before I know it i've already had about 35 spoonfuls. And wow I feel like i'm going to go from people thinking i'm anorexic to being really fat! PB is so fattening, but I want my boobs back :) But wow. I can't believe other people are addicted like me.

I was on diet after my babies with very hard exercise program lost 30 pound,

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
I have a problem with peanut butter. This sounds so weird to say. My mom craves it also. I eat six pounds in four days. I can go all day without eating it, but when it is night time. I consume a large very large sandwich before I go to bed. MAN NOTHING HITS THE SPOT LIKE PEANUT BUTTER! I can not wait till 10:30 P.M.. I think I am going to get a 12 step book and insert peanut butter. I have to stop eating it. Help.

To Lucky, I just wanted to let you know that if you really want to gain weight peanut butter, peanuts, almonds, cashews, really any form of nuts will definetly help you. Unfortunately that doesn't help me i'm addicted to the junk.

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
i usually go buy a 6 pack flat of Peter Pan Peanut Butter from Sam's. That is 6 containers of 6lbs of peanut butter. I think i takes me about 2 weeks to go through one container. I am a vegitarian and a runner/cyclist who needs protien and good fat. peanut butter is perfect for it. I am however addicted. I will get up in the middle of the night and eat a few spoon fulls and go back to bed. I am worried it is going to rot my teeth. ANother bad thing is that since the salmonila scare, you can't find peter pan and i have had to eat other brands, and i don't like Jiff

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
I also am addicted to peanut butter. It happened just over the last year. I eat it all the time. It doesn't matter what brand, or if it's chucky or creamy. I eat large spoonfuls of it right out of the jar. My husband buys it and has been hiding it from me! But the problem I have is a big one. I have gained at least 20 lbs from this. I am getting so heavy that I look like the letter O with legs!

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
Never knew there were so much PB lovers out there - but hey whatever satisfies your cravings, go for it! I heard once before that eating peanut butter sandwiches every night before going to bed will help with weight gain but I wasn't sure how true this was until reading everyones testimonies from eating the stuff. I too am a peanut butter lover. I especially enjoy it in smoothies (banana-strawberry smoothies to be exact!). I will try the peanut butter sandwiches in addition to the smoothies to help with my weight gain!! CHEERS!:-)

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
for all you peanut butter addicts try Parker's Farms Natural peanut butter, it's unlike any peanut butter you've ever tasted and it is good for you! no hydrogenated oils, palm oil, etc. just peanuts, salts, and love! it is amazing! its in the refrigerated department of whole foods over by the milk and cheese and yogurt.

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
Come on guys...it looks like some of you need to gain weight. I need to lose weigh...I have been on a diet for a year and lost about 60 pounds, and now I have gained 10 in 2 months from eating peanut butter. Eight years ago I ate so much PB that I got sick of it. For the next 7 years I hated it, did not want to see it. Suddenly I am craving it, and it started at the beggining of this year. I just can not stop eating it. Btw, I just had a sandwich and I am ready for the second one. :(

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
It's awful- my love for peanut butter. It's so creamy and yummy. I eat right out of the jar. I put it on my ice cream. I love it on rye bread. I wish it was never invented. I crave it all the time. I can't get enough of it. I was out of peanut butter for a few days. i really tried not to buy it since I can't handle being around it. But I bought two jars this morning. I am glad to read that there are other people that also suffer from this wonderful, tasty treat.

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
Are you guys crazy? !!! what are you thinking? is it like u are addicted to some sort of drugss?? a 1 tbsp peanut butter contains 2 grams of saturated fats...and it means if u consume more than 3 tbsp of PB, it cud be a serious thread to ur heart... the saturated fats can clog ur heart artries...
cut off this addiction as soon as possible...
havent u heard? "access of everything is bad for health."

Re: It's Peanut Butter Time
1. Why don't you invent/make a peanut butter jar with two lids, top and bottom?
2. Do you max your PB retrieval productivity with a microwave zap or two?
