via AWS InstaCam Network
Utilizing AWS's InstaCam network, I have created a Google Maps Web Cam Locator that allows you to search for web cams by zip code. When you click on a point you see the latest available image captured from the camera. The zip code search centers the map on the specified zip code and loads all the cameras in it's region. A typical region covers mutliple states. Its fun to just click around from point to point and sight see. The program loads a little slow since I am scraping AWS's site for content, but once a region is loaded you can move about efficiently.

Re: Google Maps: Web Cam Locator
Nice, but you need to escape special characters.
Here's a JavaScript error I'm getting. Search zip code 33604 to duplicate.

Re: Google Maps: Weather Cam Locator
Thanks for the debug. I have since re-vamped my method of search to increase speed. Now you can simply search by state from a dropdown menu. Thanks to Grady and Jeff for the input.

Re: Google Maps: Weather Cam Locator
Hi,
I am building my website, wanted to integrate maps into , specifically local restaurants near the city.I am facing a problem of not able to get longitude and latitude information for the addresses I have.
I mean how do I point the marker first place where I dont know the exact longitude and latitude of the address?
How do I get this information.
Sorry it might be very silly question but facing the problem with it for sometime now.
Anybody can help?
Regards,
Aravind

Re: Google Maps: Weather Cam Locator
Hi,
could you make STATE field optional, so people around the world (not US only) could add their cameras as well?

Re: Google Maps: Weather Cam Locator
I posted a cam on the site how do i remove it? I did not know this was for weather cams only because I was linked directly to the main cam section by DIGG.COM.
Thanks

Re: Google Maps: Weather Cam Locator
Hi,
I tried to add my Halifax Webcam to your site.... but... located in Nova Scotia/Canada.
Unfortunately, NS and all the Canadian Provinces are not in the (mandatory) state list.
Would be great if you can fix it.
Thanks,
Ralf

Re: Google Maps: Weather Cam Locator
This was a nice early version of a geographic webcam locator. Check out my site livelook.com to see a little newer version.
