Mobile Command Center Development

BigFoot by Pace American We are currently developing a mobile command center at CTEH. I have been put in charge of the technological aspects (communications, multimedia, etc.). The command center is a BigFoot model from Pace American with a custom interior designed for a mobile command operations center. There is one large "war" room and 2 additional workspace rooms. One room is will be the control center for all the multimedia/technology components, and the other is for sample preparation and equipment maintainence. The trailer is still being built and I am going down next week to assist in the multimedia wiring. The project will last until mid August and I plan to document our progress on my blog. Here are a few features I have set in stone so far:

1. We have 7 total audio/video ports in the trailer that will be wired with VGA, S-Video, Composite, Coax and stereo.
2. Satellite internet access via Optistreams Aetheron Series (Capable of 4 Mbps up and down $$$$$$)
3. 30 ft. telescopic mast antenna from Will-Burt Company
4. Indoor and outdoor speaker system
5. Custom roof rack to mount additional communications equipment
6. VOIP hardware
7. DVD/VCR, Dish Network, Standard TV antenna
8. Sony SNC-RZ30 PTZ Network camera (top of 30 ft. mast)
9. Junxion Box (backup internet access)
10. Advanced VGA and composite switches.

There are tons of additional things that I want to add on and maybe I will get the opportunity to. Stay tuned...

You may be interested in exhibiting the trailer at the 2006 Annual GovSec, US Law and Ready Expo and Conference. It is the largest Homeland Security Gathering in the nation. Many mobile command units will be on display from the industry leaders. Respond by email for additional information: lbraman@ntpshow.com
