Independent Artists Taking Inititative

My friend and co-worker Jeff has been preaching BitTorrent to me for the last month and I am now starting to see why. Here's a great example: Using MusicPlasma, a couple of months ago I ran across a band called the Decemberists. They were linked to some of my other similar interests and so I decided to check them out. I'm not sure how they got on MusicPlasma but thats how I found them. I ran across an article tonight promoting the Decemberists new video "Sixteen Military Wives" and low and behold they were using BitTorrent to distribute it. It allows them to publish a much higher quality video without the high costs of bandwith. Who needs MTV? Read more about how BitTorrent works here.
