While we were in Denver a couple of weeks ago, we played a game called "Cornhole". At first I chuckled at the name, but after playing a few games it was no laughing matter. It's similar to horseshoes in that it's a yard game. There are 2 boards approximately 30 feet apart with a 6 inch hole in near the top. The boards are angles slightly, and you try to throw corn-filled bags into the hole or at least get on the board. You can read more about it here. So Ryan, Jeff and I decided to build our own cornhole kit. It only took us two evenings to build the boards and the bags. (Thanks to the folks at Flag and Banner for letting us use their industrial strength sewing machines for the bags!) Tonight we played for about 3 hours. Despite it's humorous name, its a highly addictive/competitive game. It's perfect for backyard BBQ's or tailgating parties. I'm sure we'll wear this game out, but if you want to play come on over sometime.
Here are our custom boards. This is a bad picture, but it's the only one I have.

That sounds just like "washers." Instead of the bean bags you toss metal washers.

Not only is there an ACA, but tournaments are springing up all over the Midwest. I don't know if any of you get to Cincinnati, but if you do, and you're interested in playing, check us out (www.cornholeproductions.com) to see what might be going on. We've had people from Chicago, Indianapolis, and Knoxville. Have fun with your boards.
