I encourage you to listen to Bjork. She's the perfect blend of electronic, vocal, and orchestra music. Her voice is soothingly haunting and her lyrics are, to say the least, complex. Bjork is a style icon as well. She tends to dress ethnicly from Chinese dresses and Indian jewels to authentic vintage styles as well as sporting modern designs. I think she is very beautiful, an exquisite mix between Lucy Lui and my wife.

Re: Listen to Bjork
Ok, I had no idea that Bjork sang, "Jet Plane"! LOVE IT! Great voice! I actually had an x-boyfriend sing that to me when I left for college. Yeah, I'm not right! :)

Re: Listen to Bjork
Sorry I can't let it slide, John Denver wrote and sang "Leaving on a Jet Plane." Bjork did a remake of it.

Re: Listen to Bjork
You're obviously closed minded, and I feel very very sorry for you. Not letting yourself experience one of the greatest human voices, and actually saying "ew"??? What are you, 12?

Re: Listen to Bjork
If you like Bjork, you should also give Regina Spektor a spin. I had downloaded some stuff from her it is amazing BUT, MTV just labeled her the next Bjork so, there goes her career!

Re: Listen to Bjork
Wow. Welcome to 1988. Good to have you here.
If you want GOOD Bjork...buy some old Sugarcubes albums. May i suggest "Life's Too Good"?

Someone's Special...
I'm not saying she's new, I'm just saying she's good, BTW I have all her albums. I just love it when people think they are special because they heard a band first. By claiming that you only like her first albums shows that you have no idea what your talking about. We are mere mortals in your presence oh mighty Ranger...

Re: Listen to Bjork
Sorry to Burst everyone's BUBBLE, but neither Bjork nor Jewel have sung "Leaving on a Jet Plane" It was sung by Chantal Kreviazuk available on the soundtrack from the movie Armageddon.
Further more Matt, I can't let it slide... While I do like Bjork and you are correct, John Denver did write "Leaving on a Jet Plane" in 1967, it was never recorded by Bjork.
This has become an urban legend due to a Napster misnomer several years ago, which has since spread through the file sharing world. The Chad Mitchell Trio recorded it in 1967, as did Spanky & Our Gang and Peter, Paul and Mary.
NOT Jewel, NOT Bjork, NOT PJ Harvey
Cheers
