900 miles of random thought
I am currently in Denver, CO visiting family. The main reason we are here is for the birth of Jace Hicks. He's here now and health as he can be. Check out his blog to get all the details. Ryan, Danielle, Maggie and I drove out with Jeff and Lili in seperate cars on Wednesday night. For the majority of the trip it seems like there was little conversation. I would guess we spent about 3 hours of the 14 hours it took to get here talking. The rest was filled with silence. It's amazing how out of 11 hours of thought I can only remember a few things that went through my head. Here are a few of them. I remember trying to figure out the difference between dictionaries and lists (concerning programing). I had to call Jeff on his cellphone to get it all straight. Thanks "LC". Then I thought about how I took for granted the clear skies in my rural hometown of New Hope. I used to climb up on the roof at night and look at the stars for hours. Now I live in Little Rock and the light pollution and small amount of smog filter out most of the night sky. I thought of this while driving through Kansas as I looked out the window and noticed how clear the night sky was in the middle of nowhere. I thought about work a lot as well. Then I remeber trying to come up with different blog modules. After Jeff completed the LaunchCast module, we have been racking our brains to come up with another one. We came up with a few on this trip, maybe you'll see them in the near future. So that's all I remember, crazy.. It only seems like about 2 hours worth of thought.
